Chinese New Year/Hari Raya/Deepavali Celebration

Chinese New Year performance was immediately held at the hall after I just finished my NCC performance,we kept all the tables and chairs,we changed and went up to the hall.Full of perspiration I went up the hall and sat down.We saw chinese dance, tamil dance and lots more. The dance that I think was the best was the dance which was held by students . Its like a street dance but pair up with a male and a female each. After that there was a lion dance performance which seems similar to the one last year.The two lions were jumping around on the stage.At the end of the performance Mrs Menon went up and thank the people dancing in the lion. We were dismissed after everything and we went back home.

Total Defence Day

Totel Defence Day is celebrate on 15 February to commemorate the anniversary of the surrender of the British to the Japanese.Total Defence Day consists of 5 pillars which is Military Defence,Civil Defence,Economic Defence,Social Defence and Psychological defence.After reading up Military Defence is Singaporeans keeping Singapore safe.Civil Defence is taking care of our own family and friends.Economic Defence is working and saving to achieve a better life.Social Defence is to have everyone living in harmony helping one another. Last Psychological defence is being a Singaporean and proud of ourself
I reported to school as normally and went for assembly. After assembly we went back to our classes..A relief teacher came in to our classes to relief our form teachers and told us some events that happen during World War 2 and the suffering and torture that we suffered during World War 2. After about half an hour the fire alarm bell rang and we were to go assemble at the field.We sat on the field and waited for permission to go back to class.Some teacher were briefing about the fire drill and what was going on but sitting behind I could not hear anything. After that we went back to our class and I went down for ncc performance at the field.Changed into our uniform and went to the field for performance.We have to perform 4times as we have to perform for all the secondary levels. I missed the tour around the school so I have no idea of what is happening. After the performance we went up the hall for our Chinese New Year celebration

Growth Day @Sentosa Beach

Growth Day this year was held on Sentosa Beach which is different from last year which was held at school. We had to report to school in the morning at 7.30am on Saturday. Went up the bus on about 8am and enjoyed a 1 hour trip to Sentosa. After we reach a student councilor brought us to the beach. It was a 15 minute walk to the beach and along the way there were councilor that guide us along the way. We were given coupons to play the carnival games there.There are lots of games to choose from such as basketball and some throwing game and alot more.In the end I did not played anything and went to the beach.My coupons were given to my friends and I sat at the beach for hours. There was a interesting event that happen when I was at the beach. There was a couple that came and called my friend to take photos and vidoes for them , they were really hilarious looking them walking along the beach. I really enjoy the growth day this year as it was different from the one last one which was in school.

Incident of Cheating

‘Good afternoon class , today we are going to do a composition about ‘The Worst Day of my life ‘ . After the briefing from Miss Lee , we started to do our composition. Thinking of this title I recall when I was in primary 4 , something happen to me which hurt me deeply.
It was just a normal day like every school day. It was Maths lesson after our recess , it was our Maths topical test . Mdm Tan pass us our test paper to start our exam. The question was very easy and I finish it in less than a hour. Mdm Tan gave us 1 hour to finish the whole test so I took out my storybook and start reading. Tim who was sitting beside me looks flustered and fearful it seems to me that he didn’t know how to do anything.
Tim’s eyes seems to moving toward my paper and copied all of my answer to his paper. I didn’t know that he copied my answer until next week. The week after the test our results was announced . I got full marks for my test and Tim got full marks too. Mdm Tan called us both to stay back and I wonder why.
Tim and I both met at the staff room and waited for Mdm Tan to come. Mdm Tan took both of our paper out and identify out that most of out question were similar and conclude that we cheated. Mdm Tan want us to admit who copied whose answer. Tim denied at first but admitted at the end.
Tears streaked down from Tim’s cheeks as Mdm Tan wants to inform Tim’s parents about the incident happen . Tim explain that he must get at least a pass this time to get his computer so he resort to cheating.
Tim was hoping against hope that Mdm Tan change her decision and decide to give him a chance unfortunately that didn’t happen. Tim’s parents were inform and I was released. I hope that Tim doesn’t get scolded too much or get beaten .

Personal Aspiration & Target Setting

My personal aspiration is to get promoted up to sec 3 express class. This should be everyone basic aspiration i think. I hope all my classmates will get promoted to sec 3 . To get promoted we will have to have at least a pass in English Language and pass percentage in the average of all subjects. My English and Literature are the worst subject of me . I will try to work hard to pass my English and my Literature.I will work hard for every test and get a minimum pass for it. My target setting will be a pass for English and Literature and try to get a A for Maths , Science , Geo and Chinese . A grade B will be good for rest for my subject and i will be satisfied .
